　　知識(shí)點(diǎn)分析：　　

　　Get in someone’s hair的英文解釋為“used when someone is distracting you from something youare doing”。可譯為：打攪某人，吵煩某人，把某人惹火了等等。

　　A: Do you know him? 　　

　　你認(rèn)識(shí)他? 　　

　　B: Not very well. 　　

　　不太熟悉。　　

　　A: Then why did you believe him and gave him somuch money? 　　

　　那你為何相信他而給他那么多錢呢? 　　

　　B: I am simply flowing my nose and I think he really needs help. 　　

　　我只是憑直覺，想到他真的需要幫助。　　

　　知識(shí)點(diǎn)分析：　　

　　Follow one’s nose的意思為“憑直覺”“憑第六感官”。　　

　　A: I think, for this thing, he has gone too far. 　　

　　在這件事情上，我認(rèn)為他做得有點(diǎn)過分了。　　

　　B: Why? 　　

　　為什么呢? 　　

　　A: You know, he shouted from the housetops thatSusan had done such a thing. 　　

　　你知道嗎，他大聲宣告蘇珊做的那件事情。　　

　　B: Yeah, it’s nobody but she did that. 　　

　　是的，可的確是她不是別人干的。　　

　　A: But I think we should spare her feelings. 　　

　　可是我覺得還是應(yīng)該給她留點(diǎn)情面。　　

　　知識(shí)點(diǎn)分析：　　

　　From the housetops是副詞性短語，意思是“公開地”“廣泛地”。通常與declare，cry，shout，proclaim等動(dòng)詞連用。短語shout/proclaim sth. from the housetops的意思就是“公開宣布某事”。　　

　　A: I don’t know why I get a stage fright when Ispeak to a large crowd of people. 　　

　　我不知道為何我對(duì)著一群人說話，我就會(huì)怯場。　　

　　B: That’s the case with many people. 　　

　　許多人都是如此。　　

　　A: And when you are afraid of giving a poor accountof yourself, you will feel even worse. 　　

　　當(dāng)你害怕給別人留下不好的印象的時(shí)候，你會(huì)感覺到更糟糕。　　

　　B: I think that is where the problem lies.

　　stage fright是名詞短語，其意思為“怯場”。它經(jīng)常與動(dòng)詞get連用，即為： get a stage fright。

　　A : I am confused. 　　

　　我真有點(diǎn)迷惑不解。　　

　　B: What is the matter? 　　

　　怎么啦? 　　

　　A : You really believe what he says? 　　

　　你真相信他說的話? 　　

　　B: But frankly speaking, he has never fluffed youoff.

　　Fluff sb. off 的意思為“不把某人放眼中”“冷淡或不理睬某人”“傲慢滴排斥某人”。

　　怎么了? 　　

　　A: I’m just surprised when he flew off the handleand told me if I mention anything about mother he skin me alive.

　　A: OK, but we all have a broken heart, not just himself alone. 　　

　　好吧，可是我們都很傷心，又不是他一個(gè)人。　　

　　知識(shí)點(diǎn)分析：　　

　　Fly off the handle的意思為“失去控制”“大發(fā)雷霆”。　　

　　A: Where are you from? 　　

　　你來自哪里? 　　

　　B: Gansu Province. 　　

　　甘肅省。　　

　　A: For goodness’ sake, I didn’t know we are fromthe same place. 　　

　　天啊，我還不知道啦，我們?cè)瓉硎抢相l(xiāng)。　　

　　B: Did you have a good night tonight? 　　

　　今晚過得愉快嗎? 　　

　　A: Yes, marvelous time. 　　

　　非常愉快。　　

　　知識(shí)點(diǎn)分析：　　

　　For the goodness’ sake源于for…sake一詞，本指“為了……的緣故”。例如：for the safty’s sake(為了安全起見)，for one’s own sake(為了自己的利益)。在此，for the goodness’ sake用于加強(qiáng)語氣，或表示厭煩、驚訝等，意為“看在上帝的份上，做做好事吧”。
